JaXed Mash, an easier way to search for gear

Have you ever found yourself repeatedly checking Craigslist or Ebay to see if anyone has posted that special guitar that you’re on the look out for?

Well, JaXed Mash is the solution for those who find themselves searching for that elusive piece of gear. This website allows users to search multiple sources at once for items that they’re looking for.

One great part about JaXed Mash is that it allows you to search Craigslist on a national level. Instead of just limiting you to a city or state level, you can browse search results for every state in the USA!

JaXed Mash also allows you to check Ebay, Craigslist, and some other included sites all at the same time – all the results are displayed neatly on one page. No longer do you have to go to each site to see if your gear is available.

Here’s where you can start searching for your gear: http://instrument.jaxed.com/cgi-bin/music.cgi

And if you’re looking for something that’s not an instrument, just choose a different category at the top of the website. You can search for anything!

Rocksmith, the better alternative to Guitar Hero

Coming out Fall 2011, Guitar Hero competitor, “Rocksmith” is a game for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC that allows you to use any real guitar you want.

That means you can use your favorite six-stringed guitar to play the game, instead of a plastic, guitar-shaped controller with only five colored buttons.

Rocksmith allows you to actually learn songs on guitar instead of just playing a video game with no real redeeming value. This means that people who play guitar will be more prone to play the game, and possibly even those who don’t currently play may show an interest in learning to play the actual instrument after picking up the game.

Since it’s still a video game, after all, that means that there will be competition, just like in Guitar Hero, but instead this will be competition that requires actual skill and talent – not just the ability to see who can push colored buttons the fastest.

The tracklist, FAQs, videos, and more can be found on the game website: http://rocksmith.ubi.com/rocksmith/en-US/home/
